Ban on UK Flight Services Extended for 7 Days, Government’s Decision given Corona’s New Virus

New Delhi. In the wake of the new Corona virus havoc in Britain, the Indian government has extended the ban on flight services to and from the UK by 7 days. Now, there will be a ban on flight services to the whole of Britain including London till 7 January 2021, earlier the government had stopped it till 31 December. On Wednesday, Union Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Puri gave information about increasing restrictions on UK flight services. 

Hardeep Puri said that currently the ban on UK flight services is being extended till 7 January and after that there will be strict guidelines for flight services, which the government will soon inform. From the current stand of the government, it seems that after 7 days, flight services to the UK can be opened with some conditions, although it is too early to say anything about this. 

A total of 20 people who came to India recently from Britain have been confirmed to be infected with the new form of coronavirus (strain). On Tuesday, a person returned from Britain in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, has been found to be corona virus infected. New virus strain symptoms have been found in this person. All members of this person’s family are healthy and in control of the situation.

Significantly, between 25 November and 23 December, a total of 33,000 passengers arrived at different airports from the UK to India, out of which 114 have been found to be corona infected. When their samples were sent for genome sequencing, a new strain was found in 6. This new form of corona virus (strain) was first discovered in Britain recently. There was a case of a couple suffering from this disease.
