Maharashtra: 13 dead in Fire at Covid hospital ICU, Maharashtra Health Minister Said – ‘This is not National News’

On the traumatic death of 13 Kovid patients due to a fire in the hospital on Friday morning in Maharashtra, the state Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that this is not national news. While making this statement to the media, the health minister of the country’s most coronavirus-affected state was seen without wearing a mask.

The incident occurred early Friday in Vijay Vallabh Hospital in Virar, Mumbai due to a fire caused by a short-shirt in the AC, killing 13 of the 17 patients undergoing treatment in the ICU.

When asked questions in the case of the death of 13 people due to fire in Mumbai’s Vijay Vallabh Kovid Care Hospital, Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope said, “We will talk about oxygen, talk about Remedisvir, this incident which It has not happened, it is not national news. But the state will do all the help from the government. ”

When asked by journalists that he is not considering the death of 13 people as national news, Tope said, “We will do all we can to help the state government.” They will be given 5 lakh rupees from the state government and 5 lakh rupees from the metropolitan, help of 10 lakh rupees, which will happen in Nashik, we will help in that type. ”

According to reports, Vijay Vallabh Hospital is a private institution, which functions as a Kovid Hospital. Tope said that a detailed investigation will be done into the incident and a report will be obtained in 10 days and action will be taken against the culprits.

In Maharashtra, this is the second major incident of death of Kovid patients due to an accident in the hospital within just two days. Earlier in Nashik, Maharashtra, on Wednesday (April 21, 2021), 24 corona patients died due to leaking oxygen from the tanker. The incident took place at Zakir Hussain Hospital in Nashik.

Coronavirus in Maharashtra is not taking the name of havoc. There were 67,013 new case cases in the state on Thursday. During this period, 62,298 patients have also recovered and 568 patients died. There are 40,94,840 infected cases in the state, of which 6,99,858 are active cases and a total of 33,30,747 patients have been cured.
