Beijing: A nurse who returned from Wuhan in Hubei province of China has written an open letter to US President Donald Trump. The nurse wrote in the letter that he tried to save patients day and night along with the remaining 42,000 other doctors who assisted Wuhan during the epidemic. In the letter, he shares his personal experience of Wuhan. He has written that he did not want to take off the PPE kit so he neither ate food nor went to the toilet. Following is the letter:

‘We did not Eat or go to the Toilet’

The nurse wrote, ‘It was the eve of the spring festival in China on the way to Wuhan, which is like the Christmas Eve of America. At the time of this reunion, I, along with the remaining 42,000 doctors, left for Wuhan with relatives and got involved in a fight against the Corona virus. Initially we lacked medical supplies. We did not want to take off protective clothing, so neither did we eat nor go to the toilet. I noticed that some doctors in America have to wear plastic bags as protective clothing. ‘

‘The most difficult time has now passed’

The nurse further wrote, “Also I saw that many American doctors died due to being infected, which made me very sad. But it is a matter of relief that now the most difficult time has passed. More and more patients are getting well and going from the hospital. Like our parents, we take care of all the elderly patients. We treated more than 3600 elderly people in Hubei province, most of whom are over 80 years old. It is a matter of pride for me. In Wuhan, from infants to 108 years old, we have given all possible treatment. President, this is the story of Wuhan

Nurse wishes Americans

The nurse further wrote, ‘I know that many Americans are also battling this virus at the moment. Many American physicians are struggling on the forefront of treatment. Many people take care of each other in different ways. I salute them! Best wishes to the American people sincerely! ‘
