Former Sri Lankan wicketkeeper Kumar Sangakkara holds the record for most batsmen dismiss behind wickets in the history of ODI cricket. Sangakkara played 404 matches in his ODI career, in which he dismissed 482 (383 catches + 99 stumping) batsmen behind the wickets.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni, playing 350 matches, has so far dismissed 444 (321 catches + 123 stumping) batsmen behind the wicket. To break this record of Sangakkara, Dhoni will now have to hunt only 38 batsmen.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni has played 350 ODIs for India so far. Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkara also holds the record for most ODI matches as a wicketkeeper. Sangakkara has played 404 matches for Sri Lanka in his ODI career. Dhoni needs 54 more ODIs to break Sangakkara’s record.
Most catches by any wicketkeeper in ODIs :
Former Australia wicket-keeper batsman Adam Gilchrist, in his ODI career, played 287 matches, catching 417 batsmen behind the wicket. Talking about Dhoni, so far he has managed to catch 321 batsmen behind the wicket. Dhoni will need 96 catches to break Gilchrist’s record.
