According to the official, issues related to restrictions imposed in various parts of Jammu and Kashmir were also discussed in the meeting. Communication contacts and movement of people have been banned since August 5, after the Center repealed most of the provisions of Article 370 granting special status to Jammu and Kashmir and dividing the state into two union territories. However, restrictions have been lifted sequentially in Jammu region and some areas of the Kashmir Valley but there are still restrictions in many parts.
