Kashmiris Welcome the Modi Government Decision of Revoking Article 370

After the removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, the people of the Valley have started to openly welcome this decision of the Central Government. People, who were once silent about the fear of politics and terror, have now started speaking openly that they have not got any benefit so far due to sections 370 and 35A. They have said that they need employment and bread. The government should pay special attention to these two things now.

Farooq Ahmad Sophie, who has done business in Handwara in Jammu and Kashmir, says that since 1947, Azat has only shown us dreams. Whatever has been done by the central government for the common man, we cannot ask whose people it has been in the pockets. In Jammu and Kashmir, there has been a government of anyone, they have only kept us under pressure. He told that there is a lot of corruption and unemployment in Jammu and Kashmir. The central government should pay attention to these things.

On sections 370 and 35A, Farooq Ahmed Lone says that sections 370 and 35A did not mean the people of Jammu and Kashmir before, nor do we mean today. Till date we have not benefited from it. What will we gain from the removal of Section 370 from the valley, it will be known only in future. He said that we believe that the blind need two eyes and the hungry need two rotis.

He said that we believe that not everyone can be given jobs to overcome unemployment, but those who want to do business, they are harassed. It is said to them that do this – do that. Referring to the Jammu and Kashmir Bank case, Farooq Ahmed Sophie said that people had said that we had a good test and interview, but no one was selected. He said that the Governor also said that while those who have been appointed in the bank, they have neither given the test nor have their interviews done. We are now upset after seeing all this.
