On Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu’s remarks on sugarcane prices, BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya on Monday said it is good to see the Congress chief admit that BJP governments are doing better than Congress-ruled states.
Good to see Navjot Singh Sidhu, new Punjab Congress Chief, admit that BJP Governments in UP, Haryana and Uttarakhand are doing lot more for farmers than Congress ruled Punjab. https://t.co/lFlKUqkC7I

In fact, Punjab Congress President Navjot Sind Sidhu had advised the Punjab CM on Twitter regarding sugarcane farmers. He had said that despite the high cost of cultivation in Punjab, the price assured by the state is very low as compared to Haryana, UP and Uttarakhand. The Congress President said that the issue of sugarcane farmers should be resolved amicably immediately, and appealed to the state government led by CM Amarinder Singh to make Punjab SAP better.
The sugarcane farmers issue needs to be immediately resolved amicably …. Strange that despite the higher cost of cultivation in Punjab the state assured price is too low as compared to Haryana / UP / Uttarakhand. As torchbearer of agriculture, the Punjab SAP should be better !
