Gangaram Hospital is Waiting for the Oxygen Cylinder to be Filled for the Last Three days

New Delhi: The hearing in the Delhi High Court on the supply of oxygen in Delhi continued till today. The High Court directed the Delhi government to hold a meeting with all oxygen suppliers and refillers at 5 pm today and report to the court about what has been decided in it till tomorrow. Let us tell you that the situation of supply of oxygen is such that Sir Gangaram Hospital has been waiting for the last three days to refill its oxygen cylinders which are used to transport seriously ill Covid-19 patients. . The hospital is still seeking oxygen supply.

However, the hospital has received 10 tonnes of liquefied oxygen at 11.40 am, the sources said. The hospital said in the morning that it had only 4,000 cubic meters of oxygen left, which could last eight more hours. An official said the hospital has 104 oxygen cylinders which are used to transport critically ill Covid-19 patients in an emergency and such a situation continues to intensify. He said, “All these cylinders were sent to different places three days ago for filling in an emergency.” Our workers have been going there for the last three days but they are not getting oxygen cylinders. ”

The official said that this prestigious hospital in Delhi remains a precursor for oxygen supply. “The hospital has arranged two cylinders which are going to be finished soon,” said a source. He said that it was very difficult to get patients and it was risky. Sir Gangaram Hospital needs at least 11,000 cubic meters of liquefied oxygen daily and consumes 10,000 cubic meters of oxygen every day.

The source said that industrialist Naveen Jindal had sent a tanker with 10 tonnes of oxygen from Rourkela Steel Plant to the hospital at 11.40 am. The vehicle will take more than 48 hours to reach Sir Gangaram Hospital. On Friday, 25 critically ill patients died due to lack of oxygen in the hospital, although the administration denied this.
