Worlds Biggest Car Factory Reopened After 36 Days, Produced 45 Million Cars till Date

Berlin : Volkswagen, the world’s largest car company shut down due to Coronavirus, has resumed. In view of the Corona virus infection, the car company had to remain closed for 36 days in the applicable shutdown. This was the first time in the 82-year history of the company, when production of the car stopped for so long.

According to a report by CNN, Volkswagen Car Company has brought 100 new changes in its plants with the resumption of production. Along with starting the business again, the company has to take care of the health of its employees as well. Thousands of workers work in its units. Continuing car production despite the epidemic is a major challenge for the company.

The company has made 4.5 crore cars so far

Volkswagen Workers’ representative Bernd Austerloh has said that we have not produced and sold cars in this situation before. The company’s car plant is located in Wolfsburg, Germany. The company’s unit is said to be a unique example of human engineering. The company’s unit is located along the canal spread over 200 miles of Europe.

Volkswagen was started in 1938. The group’s headquarters still exist in Wolfsburg. Since 1945, the car company has produced 40 million cars. This car company made its most famous brand Beetle here for three decades. Currently, the car company is making its best-selling models VW Golf Series and Tiguan.

Car Company was closed since 19 March

The car company’s plant was closed on 19 March in Europe due to an outbreak of Corona infection. The car company had to stop production after the lockdown was implemented and the border sealed. With the introduction of the car company, efforts are being made to accelerate the economy of Europe again. About 14 million people work in Europe’s car sector. Resuming production of cars will save people’s jobs and the economy will accelerate.

The car company’s unit is spread over 6.5 million square meters. Last year, Volkswagen produced around 7 lakh cars. Every day around 3500 cars were being built in the unit. About 63 thousand people work in this unit. This is equal to about half the population of this city. Volkswagen exports its cars to around 71 countries. About 2600 companies are attached to it. Their work was affected due to Corona virus.
