Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu said to Foreign Minister – Answer the letter or else I will go to Pakistan like a common devotee

New Delhi: There are only two days left in the opening ceremony of Kartarpur Corridor. Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu is restless to attend the inaugural Samarho on behalf of Pakistan, he has written three letters to the Indian Ministry of External Affairs for permission to visit Pakistan. But the ministry has not yet responded to any of Sidhu’s letters. On Thursday, Sidhu has written another letter to External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, asking him to at least reply to his letters.

In this letter, Sidhu has told the foreign minister that “Sir, despite repeated reminders, you have not yet responded that the government allowed me to visit Pakistan for the inauguration ceremony of the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur Corridor.” Yes or No. Such delay or no response will affect my future action plan. ”

But he warned the ministry that if his letter was not answered, he would go to Pakistan like a common Sikh devotee. He wrote in the letter that “I clearly state that I will not go if the government has a block and not as a law abiding citizen. But if you do not reply to my third letter, I will go to Pakistan in the form of millions of Sikhs. “Those devout characters go on visa.”

Sidhu’s name is on the first number in the guest list of the Indians whom Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has sent. Sidhu, who has expressed his desire to attend the inauguration ceremony, had written a letter to Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and Foreign Minister S Jaishankar on Saturday requesting permission to visit Pakistan.

The Kartarpur Corridor will connect the Dera Baba Nanak temple in Gurdaspur district of Punjab to the Kartarpur Sahib Gurdwara in Pakistan.

Navjot Singh Sidhu’s visit to Pakistan in 2018 faced criticism in India after Imran Khan’s swearing-in ceremony embraced Pakistani Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
