Mayank Agarwal Double Blast, Smash Double century in his first match on Indian Soil
Indian opener Mayank Agarwal has scored a double century against South Africa in the first Test match of the three-match series. He achieved this feat in the 116th over of the Indian innings. In the journey to reach 200 runs, Mayank has hit 22 fours and 5 sixes. This is Mayank Agarwal’s fifth Test, but interestingly, he is playing his first Test match on Indian soil. Prior to this, he has played two Tests in Australia and two matches in the West Indies.

Mayank Agarwal is the second Asian opener to score a double century as an opener against South Africa. However, it is another matter that the first players to do this feat are also Indians. Mayank Agarwal has two double centuries and a triple century. He scored an unbeaten 304 against Karnataka in November 2017 against Maharashtra. He then scored 220 for India A against South Africa A in August 2018. And now again he has scored a double century for Team India against South Africa.

Mayank Agarwal has played big innings in all four centuries in India. In the last four centuries, he has scored an unbeaten 201 (against South Africa), 220, 176 and 161 runs. Mayank Agarwal made his Test debut last year. He was then selected into the team on the Australian tour. Mayank scored 195 runs in two matches at an average of 65 against Australia. After this, the 28-year-old Indian batsman played two Tests against West Indies at his home. In these two matches, he scored 59 runs including a half-century in the Kingston Test.
