New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, CBSE) has increased the examination fees for SC / ST students drastically. Now they have to pay a fee of Rs 1200 instead of 50. For the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) students, the board examination fee has been increased by 24 times. Obviously, there is bound to be a ruckus on this increase.
The fee of general category students has also been increased twice. Now they have to pay 1500 rupees instead of 750 rupees. For class 10 board examination, students have to register in class IX and for class 12 board examination in class 11.

Earlier no fee was Charged for Additional Subject
An official told that SC / ST students will have to pay an additional Rs 300 for the additional subject in the 12th board examination. Earlier, no fee was charged from students of these classes for additional subjects. Normal class students will also have to pay a fee of Rs 300 instead of Rs 150 for additional subjects.
Visually Impaired Students Discount
The official said that 100 percent visually impaired students have been exempted from the CBSE examination fee. However, students who do not deposit the fee as per the new rate before the last date will not register and they will not be allowed to appear for the examination for 2019-20.
Migration fees increased from 150 to 350 Rupees
The transfer fee (migration fee) has also been increased from Rs 150 to Rs 350. Students studying in CBSE schools abroad will now have to pay Rs 10,000 as board examination fee for five subjects. Earlier this amount was five thousand rupees. Students of this category will now have to pay a fee of Rs 2000 instead of Rs 1000 for the additional subject in the 12th board examination.
