The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh today established a new record. The government has planted 22 crore saplings a day and got it named in the Guinness Book of World Records. The state government organized a ‘tree plantation Mahakumbh’ on Friday to mark the 77th anniversary of the Quit India Movement. Under this, the target of planting 22 crore saplings was set in one day, which was completed by 5 pm. For the past several days, there was preparation for this in the entire state. The program started in Prayagraj on Friday morning. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also participated in this special plantation program.
Earlier, he tweeted and said – I appeal to the youth to come forward, every young person adopts a plant and nurture it, like the cultural Mahakumbh, make the plantation Mahakumbh also as a mass movement. Come on, save your mother earth and ensure a better environment for generations to come.

Chief Minister Yogi said, ‘It is our responsibility to give clean environment to our next generation’. He set a target of planting 25 crore saplings next year. CM said that we have to understand that if there are trees, then there is water and if there is no water, it will be tomorrow. He appealed to the people to plant more and more people like Peepal, Banyan, Pakad, Desi Mango, Drumstick etc.
Concern is being raised about the environment all over the world. Trees are constantly being harvested, due to which the average temperature is increasing. In such a situation, this initiative of Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath is commendable.
