Boxer Vijender Singh Is Congress’s Candidate In South Delhi Seat
New Delhi : Congress has declared Olympic medalist boxer Vijender Singh as a candidate from South Delhi Lok Sabha seat.

According to the statement issued by party, Vijender will be his candidate from South Delhi. This seat will be contested by Vijender from Ramesh Bidhudi of BJP and Raghav Chadha from Aam Aadmi Party. Vijender won the bronze medal for the country in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. With the announcement of their candidacy, the Congress has declared candidates in seven seats of Delhi.

Former Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit has been given ticket from north-east Delhi from where Delhi BJP President Manoj Tiwari and you are Dilip Pandey in the electoral fray. Former Congress President PCC chief Ajay Maken will be given the ticket from New Delhi, JP Agarwal to Chandni Chowk, Rajesh Llothia to North-West Delhi, Mahabal Mishra to West Delhi and Arvinder Singh Lovely from East Delhi.
Significantly, the Congress has declared a total of 422 candidates for the Lok Sabha elections, including the names of UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Congress president Rahul Gandhi.
