Ranveer Singh Launches an Independent Record Label

Ranveer Singh has released an independent record label for music artists in the country.

The actor released the IncInk label together with the filmmaker and musician Navzar Eranee.

“We’re releasing some really raw, immensely talented rap and hip hop artists that we think will be the next superstars. “Rap and hip hop are the biggest things that happen in Indian music today,” Singh said in a press release.

The release comes after the success of Singh’s Bollywood movie “Gully Boy,” which tracks the rising journey of a rap star from the streets of Mumbai’s slum, Dharavi.

Rap and hip hop in India increased slowly, but now they have seized the country’s “new music scene”.

Artists like Divine and Naezy have made a name for themselves in the country. However, these artists took online streaming platforms such as YouTube to make their music popular, with the presence of a record label to encourage these artists to give way to rap and hip hop to evolve rapidly in India.
