Rahul Gandhi: From Rs 72,000 per annum, to Rs 72,000 per month to Rs 72,000 crores per year

On Friday, Rahul Gandhi accidentally ended up promising “72,000 Crore rupees a year” to the “poorest of the poor families.” In a video, Rahul Gandhi, while talking about the Minimum Income Guarantee, which promises Rs 72,000 per year for the poorest 20% of the poorest poor families, ended up saying Rs 72,000 crore.

While addressing a rally in Kurukshetra in Haryana, Gandhi promised Rs
72,000 Crore to each family. He said: “Any family that has an income of less than 12,000 rupees per month, to those families, the Congress will grant 72,000 crore rupees per year.”

The BJP also tweeted a video showing Gandhi promising to remove 25,000
crore  people from poverty.

As if this were not enough to make Congress want the damage, Rahul’s master stroke would definitely sweep the great game.

Repeating the same affirmation with another turn of reflection, the member of Gandhi committed to grant “crore” of Rs 72,000 per year to 5 families of crore. “Crore” gives the strange commitment a new advantage. According to its assertions, Congress should disburse Rs 3,60,00,00,00,00,00,00,000 (1.91 lakh for the total GDP of India) in its distribution plan.

According to the Rangarajan Committee report, 29.5% of India’s population is below the poverty line. The poverty line has been defined as Rs 32 per day in rural areas and Rs 47 per day in urban areas. This means that people who are below the BPL in rural areas earn less than 960 rupees per month, and people in urban areas earn less than 1,410 rupees per month. Therefore, all families of 20% of the population or 5 million people will qualify for the highest amount of Rs 72,000 per year under the scheme.

If implemented as promised, this will be the second largest expenditure manager of the union government. The total expenditure estimate for the 2019-20 budget is Rs 27.84 crore, which means that the total budget for the plan will be 13% of the budget.

As usual, Rahul Gandhi, who rarely fails to disappoint his fans, took Twitter for a storm. The people who swear by their idiots had a field day. Several memes emerged mocking the absurdity of Gandhi’s thoughts.

Few claimed that if Congress came to power they would quit their jobs or close their existing businesses, due to their sheer generosity.
