Bhola owns a donkey called Khandya. Bhola is a very tolerant and kind teacher. The donkey is lazy and always finds ways to avoid work.
Once, while returning with a pile of salt on her back, Khandya falls into the river. He realizes that the fall has decreased the weight of the sacks since the salt has dissolved in the water.
The next few days, Khandya falls on purpose in the water every day. Bhola is not happy with the way Khandya is behaving because he is losing money in the process. He decides to teach Khandya a lesson.
The next day, instead of bags of salt, load Khandya with cotton bags. Khandya is not aware of the change. As planned, it falls into the water and wets the bags. He is surprised to find the load unbearable. His teacher otherwise also begins to beat him.
Khandya learns her lesson and begins to behave.
Moral : work with honesty and sincerity because laziness will ruin you.
