This is not devastating news in any way, but Google announced today that Gmail has a button crossed out in its format bar. In addition, it also has Undo / Redo options and the ability to download emails as .EML files.
There really is not much more to say about this, but if you ever wanted to use a strikethrough in an email to show that you edited something, then your time has come. The same for those of you who always wanted to see the undo and redo buttons in Gmail because it keeps forgetting the keyboard shortcuts for them.
New features are now being implemented for all G Suite users and should be available to everyone in the next three days. It is likely that users of the free version of Gmail will see them too soon.
