SADAK 2: Gulshan Grover REVEALS about his Bad Man character in this Sanjay Dutt, Alia Bhatt Starer

The moviegoers of the 90s would no doubt remember the role of Maharani of the Sadak protagonist of Sanjay Dutt – Pooja Bhatt, one of the most iconic villainous roles played by the late Sadashiv Amrapurkar. Now, after 27 years, the sequel to this romantic drama will feature another villain in the form of Gulshan Grover. Sadak 2 will also see Sanjay and Pooja meet together with Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur playing the lead roles. It will also mark the return of Mahesh Bhatt as director.

Well, we all know that Gulshan Grover is the original evil man of Bollywood. The actor is known for his evil roles and his return to a similar space will definitely create curiosity. But will it be compared to the late Sadashiv Amrapurkar? That is a fear that Grover does not face mainly because his character is expected to be quite different from the original.

Fans of the 90s would know that Sadashiv played the role of a eunuch who ran the brothel where they abducted Pooja Bhatt and kept her in captivity. Although Gulshan did not reveal too many details of his role, he did describe his character as interesting, scary, dangerous and relevant in recent reports. He also assured that his character will remain in the public mind even after they leave the theater.

The veteran actor was also praise for the plot of the film, which he considers relevant and how his character reflects what is happening in today’s society. He also went on to say that Sadak 2 is probably the most exciting movie of his career that covers more than 400 films.

Interestingly, Gulshan Grover has already worked with Mahesh Bhatt and Sanjay Dutt in the past. Although he thanked Mahesh Bhatt for choosing him for this important character in this film, he is equally excited to work with Sanjay again. Calling him his brother, Gulshan was happy to meet Dutt with whom he has worked on more than 30 films. He also believes that his on-screen animosity that was represented in other films in the past will only improve with Sadak 2 and that additional layers added to their respective characters will help them do so.
