India Win First ever Test Series in Australia

India got its first victory in the Test Series in Australia after the fifth day of the fourth Test in Sydney was canceled on Monday.

Rain meant that it was not possible to play on the last day, which gave India a 2-1 victory in the series.

While a win in the series was not in doubt at the start of Monday, the Draw Test confirmed India’s first success in Australia, as they retained the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Forced to continue, the hosts had a 6-0 record on the stumps on day four, and there are still 316 runs left in another test dominated by India.

Cheteshwar Pujara (193) and Rishabh Pant (undefeated 159) played the bat in the first innings for India, who scored 622-7.

Kuldeep Yadav (5-99) was impressed with the ball, but the weather ruined any possibility of a result.

Pujara was named the player of the series after doing 521 runs with an average of 74.42.
