Sharp’s new Smartphone has Double the category for … Double as much fun?

While phone manufacturers are doing everything they can to make the notch look less obvious, Sharp is duplicating it.

The Japanese electronics manufacturer has presented its AQUOS R2 Compact, which presents the first “double level” design of the company.

While the top notch houses the front camera, the bottom notch has a fingerprint reader that sits under the 5.280 x 1080 5.280 x 1080 IGZO LCD.

Measuring 64 mm wide, it is noticeably narrower than the newer iPhones and other higher-end Android smartphones. Sharp boasts that its design makes the phone easily usable with one hand, a dream that has long since abandoned us.

Apart from that, the AQUOS R2 Compact works with Android 9 Pie, with a Snapdragon 845 processor, 64GB of internal storage, 4GB of RAM, a 22.6 megapixel rear camera and a 2,500mAh battery.

It is unlikely that you will see the phone outside Japan when it launches at SoftBank in January next year, a sad news if you are one of those people who can not get enough quality.
