The number of these people is about 12 million, who are waiting for the rescue workers to arrive.

Chaos in the country
At least 25 people, including 12 subway commuters, have died in China’s central Henan province due to the heaviest rain in over 1,000 years. Officials said Zhengzhou recorded 617.1 mm of rainfall from Saturday to Tuesday, which is roughly the same as the city’s annual average rainfall (640.8 mm).

According to state-run media, a total of 1.24 million people were affected by the floods and more than 160,000 people were rescued. Seven people are reported to be missing, while two died due to wall collapse. Not only were subways, roads, hotels and buildings inundated, but the Shaolin Temple has reportedly also been hit by severe floods. Due to which there is an atmosphere of panic in the whole country.
Meteorologists predicting more rain for the next three days
As meteorologists are forecasting more rain for the next three days in Henan province, President Xi Jinping sent 5,700 People’s Liberation Army (PLA) troops to the city, about 650 km southwest of Beijing, for search and rescue operations. has been deployed.
Visuals broadcast on the CGTN channel showed firefighters rescuing 150 children and employees from a school in Zhengzhou city. While hospitals and schools have been closed for those trapped in the torrential rains, libraries, cinemas and museums have become shelters in these difficult times. According to Reuters, Zhengzhou’s largest hospital, which has a facility of more than 7,000 beds, now has no room left for people and people are helpless. Therefore the officials have been asked to make arrangements for transportation for about 600 critically ill patients.
