Now after the murder of a researcher associated with corona disease, questions are again raised. A Chinese researcher who arrived close to making an important discovery on the Corona virus has been shot and killed in Pennsylvania, USA. This was said in media reports on Wednesday.
According to the Ross Police Department, Professor Bing Liu (37) of the University of Pittsburgh was found dead Saturday in his home in Ross Township, northern Pittsburgh. He had bullet marks in his head, neck, torso and arms and legs. Investigating officers believe that a 46-year-old man found dead in his car shot and killed Liu and then returned to his car and committed suicide.
Investigating officer Sergeant Brien Kohlep said the police believe the two men knew each other, but there is no indication that Liu was killed because of his Chinese, CNN reported.
The university recalled the research work of Liu, condoling the incident. Peers from the University of Pittsburgh said, “Liu was close to making important discoveries towards understanding the cellular mechanisms associated with SARS-Cove-2 infection.” He was very talented and hard-working. “
