Fact Check: The Picture Of Nirbhaya Movement Being Viral, Nothing To Do With The Protests In JNU

A picture of the ongoing protests at the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) is going viral on social media, in which Delhi Police personnel are seen running sticks on a girl. This picture turned out to be misleading in the investigation . This picture has nothing to do with the ongoing protests in JNU.

Facebook user Jaglan Manish Chaudhary shared a picture, wrote, “New India Nationalism – Welcome to New India.” When daughters will eat sticks, then only daughters will grow… Slogan has changed. Wow, my democratic country. ”
