Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party’s Rebel Leader Kapil Mishra Joins BJP
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) rebel leader Kapil Mishra joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during which BJP leaders Manoj Tiwari and Vijay Goel were present.
The membership of rebel MLA Kapil Mishra of Aam Aadmi Party was canceled. It was decided by Ram Vilas Goyal, Speaker of the Delhi Legislative Assembly, disqualifying Kapil Mishra’s membership under the anti-defection law. This action was taken on the complaint of Aam Aadmi Party MLA Saurabh Bhardwaj. Significantly, AAP MLA Kapil Mishra campaigned for PM Modi in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

Significantly, AAP MLA, it is worth mentioning that Kapil Mishra, who was a cabinet minister in the Delhi government, was always opening a front against Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal and accused him of many irregularities. Kapil Mishra, who was removed as the minister of water resources, accused CM Arvind Kejriwal and minister Satyendar Jain of corruption. The very next day, AAP suspended him. He has since appeared in public forums as an outspoken supporter of PM Modi.
According to the statement issued by the Legislative Assembly to Kapil Mishra, ‘Kapil Mishra, MLA from Karawal Nagar is disqualified under paragraph 2 (1) (a) of the 10th Schedule of the Constitution. Mishra’s expulsion will be effective from 27 January 2019. Now the seat of Karaval Nagar will be considered vacant. ‘
