Kriti Senon told Mid Day that she had to face a lot of challenges in playing a Marathi character. She said it was very difficult to play a Marathi character that was a North Indian. She is working for the first time in a period drama. She gave credit to Ashutosh Gowariker for this and said that he helped her to play his character so that he easily played it.

Film is based on Panipat war on 14 January 1761, Panipat. This war is between the Maratha empire and the fighters of Afghanistan. Sunita Gaurikar is producing this movie. Arjun Kapoor is in lead role alongside
Kriti Senon in the film. To show his character in the film, Sanjay Dutt and Arjun Kapoor had shaved their heads. The film will be released on December 6 this year.
