Rahul Gandhi & Randeep Singh Surjewala asked to Appear Before Ahmedabad Court in Defamation Case
A local court on Monday issued summons to Congress President Rahul Gandhi and party spokesman Randeep Surjewala in the criminal defamation case filed by Ahmedabad District Co-operative Bank and its Chairman here on Monday.
BJP President Amit Shah is the director in this bank. Congress leaders allegedly alleged that the bank was involved in the scam of changing the notes extinguished from the circulation of 750 crore rupees within five days of the ban in 2016.
After this, the two complainants filed a petition in the court last week. Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate SK Gadhvi issued summons after getting evidence in front of both the leaders and asked them to appear before the court on 27th May.
