“I am proud that the first female defense minister in India is from Tamil Nadu,” Modi said. “It makes all Indians proud that the brave commander of Abhinanadan wing is from Tamil Nadu,” Modi said.

Modi said: “[The Mumbai terrorist attacks] happened, India was waiting for an action against the terrorists, but nothing happened … When Uri and Pulwama passed, you saw what our brave soldiers did, I greet those who serve the nation” .
India and Pakistan said on Wednesday they had shot down the other fighter jets, a day after the Indian Air Force attacked a Jaish-e-Mohammad terror camp in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. India said Pakistan had tried to attack military installations in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday and confirmed that an Air Force pilot was in action after the operation.
The Jaish-e-Mohammed had taken responsibility for the February 14 terrorist attack in Pulwama, in Jammu and Kashmir, in which 40 jawans from the Central Reserve Police Force died.
