INX Media Case : CBI asks Chidambaram about Twitter account but never Questions on Property , Kapil Sibal Argues in Supreme Court
New Delhi: Kapil Sibal, while pleading on behalf of P Chidambaram in the ED case in the Supreme Court, said that nothing happened in the investigation since there was an FIR in 2017, these media trials are going on, Chidambaram is being accused That they have many properties, if I get even one wrong property, then I will take this petition back.
Kapil Sibal said that on 6 June 2018, the CBI called only once. The entire investigation is against article 21 of the constitution, which gives me the right to fair investigation and fair trial. Kapil said that ED asked Chidambaram if you have a Twitter account. When the ED called Chidambaram thrice, he never asked Chidambaram about property and fake accounts.
Kapil Sibal in Supreme Court: CBI asking Chidambaram, do you have Twitter account?.. What kind of questions are being asked? 26 hours of examination and nothing (documents) has been put to him.

Describing the entire ED investigation as illegal, Kapil Sibal said that the investigation was never done according to the legal process. If the ED accused the property of favoring Chidambaram’s granddaughter, then when Chidambaram was called about it, why not ask? If the documents for the property and account charges are with the ED, then what is left to ask the accused Chidambaram with custody of the ED?
Kapil Sibal: If documents were available then why was he not confronted? Why did they pass the documents to Delhi High Court judge in sealed covers? This is a media trial. https://t.co/L8NzCZ8mZz

Kapil Sibal alleges that ED did not conduct the investigation through legal process, neither made a case diary nor shared any documents that were to be given to the accused
