Article 370 Basis of Our Relationship with India: Mehbooba Mufti

PDP President Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his remark that Article 370 and Article 35 A have caused great damage to the state. Mehbooba said that this article is the basis of their relationship with the country.

Mehbooba said in the Kulgam district about the comments of Modi that Article 370 is the basis of our relationship and engagement with the country, and if the Prime Minister feels that due to this Kashmir is harmed then he should leave Kashmir.

Article 370 gives Jammu and Kashmir a state of special status and restricts the power of Parliament to make laws related to the state. Article 35A gives the power to define permanent residents to give privilege to the state assembly.

Prime Minister Modi had told a private TV channel in Varanasi on Friday that in the article 370 and 35 A, Kashmir has suffered a lot.
