Twitter Appoints Manish Maheshwari as New India MD

Social networking site Twitter has appointed Manish Maheshwari as managing director of Indian operations. Twitter provided this information on Monday. Last year, Taranjit Singh resigned as the country’s director of Twitter India. After this the interim responsibility of this post was given to Balaji Krish. Twitter said in a statement that Maheshwari will take on new responsibility from April 29. He was previously the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Network 18 Digital.

The statement said that “India is one of the fastest growing user markets for Twitter. Twitter will continue to invest in India and its leader team.” It has been said that the number of Twitter viewers on Maheshwari in the new role It will be the responsibility to implement integrated business strategies and increase revenue in the country. He will keep an eye on Twitter India’s Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore teams. In a statement, the company said that Maheshwari will report to Twitter Asia Pacific Vice President and Managing Director Maya Hari.

On this occasion, Manish Maheshwari said, “I have been using Twitter for more than 10 years and I am excited to lead the Twitter India to take it to new heights.” Before Flipkart, Maheshwari Network 18 , TextWeb, Intuit, McKinsey and P & G.
