Continental Decline in Number of Corona Patients in Uttar Pradesh, 20,463 New Cases Today
Lucknow: There is a steady decline in the number of corona patients in Uttar Pradesh. In the last 24 hours, 20,463 new cases have been reported in the state. At the same time, 306 people died due to this epidemic. According to the data that came on Tuesday, the number of new patients is about one thousand less than Monday. On Monday, 21331 cases were found in the state. The number of active cases in the state has increased to 2,16,057. In a single day, 29,358 have been discharged from the hospital after winning the battle with corona infection.
Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Amit Mohan Prasad told reporters that in the last ten days the number of Corona infected in the state has decreased by more than 94 thousand. According to the health bulletin released here, maximum of 23 deaths have occurred in the state in the last 24 hours in Lucknow followed by 16 in Kanpur, 15 in Meerut, 12-12 in Jhansi, and Gautam Budh Nagar, 11-11 in Agra and Azamgarh, 10 in Basti. And there are eight deaths in Varanasi. Meerut has the highest number of 1,368 new cases. After this, 1,229 patients were confirmed in Gautam Budh Nagar and 1,154 in Lucknow.
Prasad said that in the last 24 hours, 29,358 patients have gone home from the disease and with this, a total of 13,13,112 corona patients have become free of infection in the state. He said that a total of 2,16,057 patients of Corona are currently undergoing treatment in Uttar Pradesh. Prasad claimed that more than 4.34 crore samples have been tested in the state so far, of which more than 2.33 lakh samples have been tested on Monday.
At the same time, on receipt of complaints of sale of drugs at a high price amid the outbreak of Covid-19 , the sub-officer who came to buy the drug as a rural person was also given the drug at double the price by the owner of the medical store, after which he was arrested. Bhatt said that when he also asked for vitamin C pills, he asked for 40 rupees while giving a leaf of medicine.
Bhatt said that the inspector of Jalalabad police station, Corona, was infected and when he ordered medicines from this medical store, he was given medicines for more than the price. Superintendent of Police Rural Sanjeev Bajpai said that a case has been registered late Monday night against Vikas Gupta, an accused in the case. The accused has been arrested and sent to jail.
