Adnan, however, has dismissed the allegations against him and demanded his release. Adnan previously ran his own television channel A9 in which he used to host talk shows related to Islamic subjects. The local media also says that Adnan once aired a dance done with girls, in which these girls used to be half-naked and make-up. Many of these girls had undergone plastic surgery to hide their identity.

Arrested in July 2018
Adnan was arrested by Istanbul Police in July 2018. He was detained during the trial along with 77 others. According to Turkish government news agency Anadolu, Adnan and 13 high-ranking members of his group have been sentenced to a total of 9,803 years and six months in prison. At the same time, Adnan was sentenced to 1,075 years and three months in a total of 10 cases including sexual offenses, sexual exploitation of minors, fraud and political and military espionage.
