The 84-year-old Kedalai Lama said in his address, “I hope that I will continue to participate here for the next 20 years beyond that. I would like to request the people of the monasteries of South India to make it an annual event. ”The Tibetan religious leader will turn 85 next month.

‘Take care of others more than yourself’

The Dalai Lama advised that the ‘Bodhichitta’ ceremony should be celebrated as an annual event in Tibetan monasteries. The Dalai Lama led a virtual ceremony for spiritual practice at his residence here on Friday. Emphasizing the importance of this special ceremony, he said, “Only by compassionate conduct arising from the sound understanding of the Buddha’s teachings of emptiness can we do others well with us.” We should take care of others more than caring for ourselves. ‘

The Dalai Lama came to India after saving his life from China
He said, “We pay more attention to ourselves, but we should pay attention to the need, you can be attracted by money and power, but it is more effective to have a philanthropic attitude.” The Dalai Lama was in 1959 in China somehow. Had escaped from his motherland and since then he has been living in self-exile in India. Since then, Tibet has been under Chinese occupation and considers the Dalai Lama it’s enemy.
