New Delhi: Russia is also standing with India in the war against Corona virus. People across the country are donating as per their wish to the PM Cares Fund. A Russian company has also donated to it. The Russian government’s main defense export body, Rosoboronexport, has donated $ 2 million to the PM CARES fund set up to deal with the COVID-19 crisis.
Russia has always been with India
The company said that India has traditionally been a major partner of RosoboroneExport. Now in this difficult time the company is helping him for humanitarian purpose. An amount of 2 million dollars has been donated to India by the company to fight against Corona. It shows our solidarity in combating this epidemic.
The first foreign company to donate to the fund
Rosoboronexport is the first foreign company to contribute to the PM CARES fund in the war with Corona. Significantly, the Indian government had announced that PM CARES, being a public charitable trust, would accept contributions from India and abroad “keeping in view the unprecedented nature of the epidemic”.
This will strengthen India-Russia relations
Rosoboronexport is part of the Russian government and its announcement to donate to India shows the close relations between the two countries. Last month, Indian PM Modi and Russian President Putin spoke on the COVID-19 crisis.
This was followed by talks between Foreign Secretary Harshvardhan Shringla and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov, in which the two sides discussed close bilateral cooperation in ensuring the welfare of each other’s citizens trapped in their respective countries. There are about 15,000 Indian students in Russia and about 5000 Russian tourists are in India at the moment.
In Russia, more than 3,000 cases of corona virus have been confirmed in a single day. With this, the number of patients has reached close to 25,000 here. According to the country’s Corona Virus Response Center, 3,388 cases have been confirmed in the last 24 hours, with the number of patients here has increased to 24,490. Of these, 198 people died.
