Cairo: The death toll from Corona virus, which has engulfed 204 countries and regions, reached 69 thousand 424 on Monday morning. 12 lakh 72 thousand 860 people are infected. Two lakh 62 thousand were also healthy after treatment. Meanwhile, former Libyan Prime Minister Mahmoud Jibril died at the age of 68 in the Egyptian capital, Cairo. A source said that he was infected with Covid-19 infection.

“Jibril had been infected with Kovid-19 shortly before and actually died late Saturday ,” the newspaper Xinhua reported in its report on Sunday .

“However, his death was officially confirmed on Sunday. Earlier he was kept in isolation for 10 days in a hospital in Cairo after being infected with the corona virus,” the source said.

Jibril was the head of the National Forces Alliance, a coalition of Libyan liberal parties formed in 2012, a year after the removal and killing of former Libyan leader Muammar al-Gaddafi.
