It is not easy to take a hat-trick in any format of cricket . Especially in T20 format where batsmen always try to dominate against bowlers and bowlers are also trying to protect themselves.
Deepak Chahar took a hat-trick against Bangladesh in yesterday 10 Nov. 2019 in Nagpur. He dismissed Shafiul Islam, Mustafizur Rahman and Aminul Islam

However, in the history of T20 International, hat-trick has been taken 12 times, which is taken by 11 bowlers. Only Lasith Malinga is the only bowler who has taken a hat-trick twice.
Let’s look at all the hat-trick taken in T20 International:
- 1- Brett Lee : Former Australia veteran bowler Brett Lee took a hat-trick against Bangladesh in Cape Town in 2007 T World Cup. He dismissed Shakib Al Hasan, Mashrafe Mortaza and Alok Kapali.
- 2- Jacob Oram : Former New Zealand veteran all-rounder Jacob Oram took a hat-trick against Sri Lanka in Colombo in 2009. He dismissed Angelo Mathews, Malinga Bandara and Nuwan Kulasekara.
- 3- Tim Saudi : Tim Southee of New Zealand took a hat-trick against Pakistan in Auckland in 2010-11. He dismissed Younis Khan, Mohammad Hafeez and Umar Akmal.
- 4- Thisara Perera : Sri Lankan all-rounder Thisara Perera took a hat-trick against India in 2016 in Ranchi. He dismissed Hardik Pandya, Suresh Raina and Yuvraj Singh.
- 5- Lasith Malinga : Sri Lanka’s Lasith Malinga took a hat-trick against Bangladesh in Colombo in 2017. He dismissed Mushfiqur Rahim, Mashrafe Mortaza and Mehdi Hasan.
- 6- Fahim Ashraf: Pakistan all-rounder Fahim Ashraf took a hat-trick against Sri Lanka in 2017. He dismissed Isuru Udana, Mahela Udavate, Dasun Shanaka.
- 7- Rashid Khan: Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan took a hat-trick against Ireland in Dehradun in 2019. He dismissed Kevin O’Brien, George Dockrell, Getchek and Simi Singh in four consecutive balls.
- 8- Lasith Malinga: Sri Lanka’s Lasith Malinga took a hat-trick against New Zealand at Pallekele in 2019. He dismissed Colin Munro, Hamish Rutherford, Colin de Grandholm and Ross Taylor.
- 9- Mohammad Hasnain: Mohammad Hasnain of Pakistan took a hat-trick against Sri Lanka in Lahore in 2019. He dismissed Bhanuka Rajapaksha, Shanaka and Shehan Jayasuriya.
- 10- Khawar Ali : Khawar Ali of Oman took a hat-trick against the Netherlands at Al Ameerat in 2019. He dismissed AJ Staal, Ackerman and van der Merwe.
- 11- Vanua : Vanua of Papua New Guinea took a hat-trick against Bermuda in Dubai in 2019. He dismissed Stowell, Leverock and Darrell.
- 12- Deepak Chahar : India’s Deepak Chahar took a hat-trick against Bangladesh in 2019 in Nagpur. He dismissed Shafiul Islam, Mustafizur Rahman and Aminul Islam.
