Article 370: Amit Shah and Ajit Doval’s high-level meeting on Kashmir, intelligence officers were also Present
New Delhi: National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval told the Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday about the current situation of Jammu and Kashmir undergoing administrative restrictions since August 5. Officials gave this information. This is Doval’s first meeting with the Shah after his return from the Kashmir Valley. Apart from Ajit Doval, Home Secretary Rajiv Gauba and top officials of Intelligence Agency were also present in this high-level meeting.
Doval stayed in the valley for ten days and there he personally monitored the situation. An official said that the NSA informed the Home Minister about the entire situation in Jammu and Kashmir. Union Home Secretary Rajiv Gauba and other top officials were also present in the meeting, which reviewed the steps taken to maintain law and order in the state.

According to the official, issues related to restrictions imposed in various parts of Jammu and Kashmir were also discussed in the meeting. Communication contacts and movement of people have been banned since August 5, after the Center repealed most of the provisions of Article 370 granting special status to Jammu and Kashmir and dividing the state into two union territories. However, restrictions have been lifted sequentially in Jammu region and some areas of the Kashmir Valley but there are still restrictions in many parts.
