Supreme Court Dismisses Petition Seeking Stay on Release of PM Modi’s Biopic
The Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed the petition seeking a ban on the movie made on PM Modi. The court, while giving its verdict in this matter, said that CBFC has not given its decision on this film. Watching the movie is the job of CBFC.

The Supreme Court said in its decision that if the film is a problem during the elections, it is the job of the Election Commission to see it.

Earlier, during the hearing on Monday, a bench chaired by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi had asked the petitioner to present the evidence in the case and tell them what the objection they had in the film. The court had questioned the petitioner how can you decide without seeing the film that it violates the Code of Conduct.
The court dismissed the petitioner’s demand, saying that we can not direct anyone to copy the film.
