Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh were married according to the traditions of South India on Lake Como, Italy, in the presence of their relatives and close friends on November 14. A second ceremony is scheduled for November 15.
Several unconfirmed reports claim that stars such as Shah Rukh Khan, Farah Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who were due to attend Deepika and Ranveer’s wedding, will skip the ceremony.
Strict policy of wedding photos
The security measures at the locations of the events have been compared with the measures provided by the world leaders, with interceptors of drones in the sky and the guests must wear special wristbands and scan unique QR codes on their phones to be able to enter. Of course, the photos have been hard to come by.
According to reports, the guests had to wear a special wristband and cover the lenses of the cameras of their mobile phones with decals. Boats were also made to patrol the lake to keep out eager photographers and gossip hunters.

The festivities began with the ring ceremony, followed by the sangeet and mehendi ceremonies. It turns out that the pre-wedding ceremonies were as great as the following. The guests seemed to be in a festive mood and the couple was happy as always and shared a few moments worthy of aww. According to a report in Bollywood Life, one of the guests revealed a super cute mmoment between the two during the mehendi ceremony.
Sabyasachi Mukherjee, the famous designer who designed the wedding of Ranveer and Deepika, is also present at the wedding venue.
He deals personally with all the details of the costumes worn by the bride and groom in all functions.
Mehendi ceremony
On Tuesday, according to the report, two more ceremonies were held: mehendi in the morning and sangeet in the afternoon.
The Ranveer ceremony took place at the CastaDiva Resort, overlooking Lake Como, while the Deepika show took place in Villa d’Este, which is located about five kilometers away.
Singers Harshdeep Kaur and Shubha Mudgal sang songs during the mehendi. While Harshdeep traditional songs mehendi, Shubha joined the songs of Thumri. However, they also played movie songs. Reportedly, Ranveer made a dramatic entry, dancing his song, Tune Maari Entriyan (Gunday), while Harshdeep sang several chants such as Mehndi Ni Mehndi, Dholak, Kala Shah Kala, Mehendi Hai Rachney Wali.
Ceremony of Sangeet
Being his usual romantic personality, Ranveer knelt as he slipped the engagement ring on Deepika’s finger. A source present at the wedding revealed that Padmaavat’s actor even delivered an emotional speech that left his lady’s love crying. After the engagement ceremony, the couple immersed themselves in the wedding party and danced with all their heart.
Deepika and Ranveer colored their clothes. Both carried creations of Sabyasachi (reportedly in place) in shades of pink and red. Through the ceremonies, Deepika was seen breaking even as Ranveer consoled her. Pinkvilla, quoting a guest, said: “Shubha Mudgal was doing a thumri when Deepika Padukone got emotional and was crying.” When she collapsed, Ranveer, who could understand her emotional state, approached her and hugged her tightly. He consoled his lady love, making sure that she smiled again with all her crazy pranks of love.
After that, the couple will hold a lavish reception party for their Bollywood friends at the Grand Hyatt in Mumbai on November 28.
The couple has asked guests at their Mumbai reception not to bring any wedding gifts to them, but to become part of a larger cause. They have been asked to make donations to the non-profit organization Deepika The Live Love Laugh Foundation, which aims to raise awareness about mental illness and reduce the stigma that surrounds them.
