Surat Firm to give 600 Cars as Diwali Gifts, 2 Women to get Keys from PM
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on behalf of a Surat-based diamond firm, will hand over the keys of the car to two employees of the firm on Thursday, under a “Skill India Incentive Ceremony”. The firm, Hari Krishna Exports, will at the same time hold the ceremony in Surat and deliver cars to 600 of its diamond polishers.
In early September, Dholakia gave three Mercedes-Benz GLS SUVs to three senior members of the company. Mahesh Chandpara (43), Nilesh Jada (40) and Mukesh Chandpara (38) received the SUV keys for a value of Rs 3 at an event in Surat by the former minister of Gujarat and the governor of Madhya Pradesh, Anandiben Patel. Dholakia had said that the three employees joined the company when they were teenagers.
At the beginning of 2017, in New Year, Dholakia had given the hatchback redi-GO of Datsun to 1,200 employees of the company.
The ceremony in which PM Modi will hand over the keys to the two employees will be broadcast live to the employees of Surat.
“A girl, Kajal, who has a physical disability, works in the planning department. Kajal and the other girl, Hiralben, went to Delhi on Wednesday. “They will meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday, who will give them the keys to the car,” Dholakia said.
The company has so far provided 300 floors for diamond polishers. The same number of flats is under construction for employees, said a company official.
According to the officials, the company named the ceremony to award these gifts as Skill India’s Incentive Ceremony to encourage employees to work harder.
